TAKE HEART-BE ENCOURAGED PRAYER FLAG
Design Inspired by blog friend Sandra Kaye and Newest Pray Flag "Take Heart-Be Encouraged "inspired by the needs of all of us right now: for Rain, Need of Healing in Bodies, Families, Marriages, Church Relationships, Government and most of all In Ourselves! A Prayer for those we love from The Book Of Common Prayer: Almighty God, we entrust all who are dear to us to thy never-failing care and love, for this life and the life to come, knowing that thou art doing for them better things than we can desire or pray for; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen By the way This my 200th Post! I Can't believe how much I have enjoy this Blog!

BUTTTON FLOWERS ( Bouquets & Postcards)
These are my Button Flower Postcards created for the July Postcard Exchange in the "Roses on my Table" a online art community trade group. Each month there is a different subject. dinisduis in Exc
The button stems are made by selecting one, two or three buttons , running a thin wire from underneath the button up thru the button ( or buttons) holes and down underneath again and twist around the stem close to the button. Then twist green florist tape around the stem, adding a few fabric leaves, contining down the stem. I cut the wire pieces about 10"-12" long. It's great fun, hope you'll try it!

ANOTHER PRAYER FLAG
Decided it was time to create another Prayer Flag and hang it in my Mama Mia Room (outside backyard) We are so dry and hot here in Missouri, the leaves are falling off the trees like it's fall! So My flag has one word RAIN! The hanging blue bottles are part of my on going collection of colored bottles.

JUNE QUILTIES TRADE 2012
Ready to add my New June Trade Quilties to the Frienship Book.
The theme was Black & White with an accent color. The quiltie with pink accent came from Vicki Zoller from Jacksonville, Florida. She added cute ribbon and buttons, and sparkle in the pink along with several black & White fabrics to create her charmer! The Red accent Quiltie came from Laura Jane from the U. K. across the waters! Red being my favorite color added to it's appeal The red ric-rac and little red heart buttons made it so colorful! Is this your flag design? She also added the patriotic handbag charm and mini flag as a little gift! How special! Especially with her just having shoulder surgery! The Black & White Effil Tower print Quiltie is from Jen from Australia She did a hint of pink in stitches as her accent color. The extra touches of Black & White button and sparkles, and black ribbon roses,( I bet she made herself) along with very decorative machine quilting set this striking quiltie off quite nicely!
I always make one for myself of each Quiltie I trade these were my four already hand sewn into the Friendship Quiltie Book. The Blue Tulip was from a trade from Tourtsondergaard in April.
