The delightful smells of spices was almost overwhelming!

Scoops of dried fruits, lentils, nuts, soup mixtures, you name it!

This was TOO MUCH! though, I couldn't handle that!!

We enjoyed a delightful lunch at a German Restaurant in Independence, Mo

Lot's of Variety!

Most tried the German Dishes.

YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH HAPPY!

One of my favorite paintings: "You Can Never Have Too Much Happy" has sold! The lady is remodeling her kitchen using bold  happy colors!  This painting will  hang over the fireplace, won't that be fun?

Celebrating husband Maurices 78th birthday and Father's Day along with son Paul and great grandson Eli

Finished this "Flirty Hexagon Patch Pillow" going and coming in the car. Of course it's in my favorite colors; Red and Yellow!

These are some of our campers at Camp Kersey learning how to quilt.

And learning how to tie quilts.

Neighbor Hope and  I shared a craft with the Golden Year Residents.  The "Fluffy Barn Owls" were  a hit. They all seemed to have a really good time!

This is #7 in my "Glamping" collection which I have displayed in my studio!  I would love to have an "Arty" camper but this will probably be as close as I come!

Mamma and Eli having fun painting some wooden toys!  See, It  runs in the family!   Hope you are enjoying your summer too! hope you'll take a glance at my other blog: www.preciouscottage.blogspot.com and my facebook site: Marlynne Snare Folk Artist.

A WEEKEND AWAY CELEBRATING MOTHER'S 100TH BIRTHDAY!

Maurice, Sister Judy and I decided to celebrate what would have been Mother's 100th Birthday. we chose things we thought she would have enjoyed. Our project for the trip was each creating  a collage of  Mother memories. I wrote a poem an copied a picture for us to build the collage around. This is mine. I also made a journal page in her honor.

We started out our trip by  meeting  our Sandgren cousins for breakfast at Smiths Restaurant in Collins, Mo.

Maurice waited out of the sun!

Cousin David Sangren and wife Virginia's Mother was a cousin of our Mothers, but they were raised like sisters. We meet the rest of our cousins for lunch on the way back home.

We met up with Sister Judy's High School friend Kathy and had a fun day shopping at eating at Ozark Mo.

There are such fun Junk/Antique places there!

Thought this was a neat idea to copy!

Creative Flower arrangements everywhere

This is our favorite spot in Branson! Devils Pool Restaurant at Big Cedar Lodge.

They are always doing some kind of improvement at Big Cedar Lodge! A beautiful 5 tiered waterfall!

A gorgeous nature scene inside Bass Pro in Springfield, Mo.

Oh how I would like one like this in our rustic ranch home!

These were my purchases on our weekend. An old canister and 2 strips of quilt pieces.

This is what 1 made out of the 2 strips I just love it!

It makes  another fun runner for the kitchen table!

This is where I put my canister! Hope you had a fun weekend too!
