A-THRIFT-STORING- WE-WILL- GO!

Enjoying this book ( my Facebook friend Marilyn Lee suggested)  every bit as much this second time as I did 3 years ago! Thanks again Marilyn!

I stopped by John Knox Thrift Store on the way home from Sister Judy's the other day. I absolutely couldn't pass up this old vintage laundry basket and liner that reminded me of my childhood. Only $5.00 too!

I found this beautiful curtain panel made out of Cranston Print Works fabric for just $.98!  I'm going to rip out the big hem and header and use it as a tablecloth! Whoopee!

This canister with air tight lid matches out kitchen dishes! It was at John Knox too for just $2,99!

Judy and are are looking for just plain old cardboard heart candy boxes to redo vintage style. So far this one is all I've found and it's more elaborate than I want , but we can cover it! In fact will probably do some in reds, check, polka dot  style too!

This was the funniest thing! Judy found a bag of 2 small heart boxes of playing cards and we thought we'd use the boxes, and probably not the cards. Well looking at the cards I thought they would look neat made into heart Garlands. Then discovered the 2 Handmade Joker Hearts in each box. Each box was different. A real Joke right!  Fun-ny!  I loved it!!

The last of their Christmas items at Major Thrift were on sale  4/$1.00. The 2 iced  large candle rings will look beautiful inside by Hurricane Globes next year!

Judy said,  "Little Lizzy" looked just like she had to come home with me! So the ribbon be dazzled little one ended up in my cart too!

She's sharing the chair right now with 2 Aunt Jeremiah Dolls!

Sister Judy showed me the contents of her stack of boxes!

Bracelets!

She has a fascinating collection of necklaces display here too!

Two of our Sorority Sisters looked so cute at meeting the other day I had to snap their picture!  Hope your putting some fun in your life too!!

THINKING FEBRUARY BIRTHDAY (80th this year!) AND VALENTINES DAY

Violets are my February Flower so I enjoy painting them. Mother raised them and I remember all the north windows full of them!

One of my favorite things Mother gave me!

Sister Judy has added to my Avon Victorian Ladies Thimble Collection. I now have 5.

I love old portrait pictures and millinery flowers.

Sweet little gift and card years ago from special friend and neighbor.

A Yummy Gift from Pastors Wife we are enjoying right now! There is nothing better in this whole wide world than warm Homemade Bread!

Finally finished my Penny Coin Floral Folk Art Painting. It was inspired by the old table runner given to me by a friend years ago.

Ran into our friends and former Pastor and Wife at Cracker Barrel the other day. Enjoyed reminiscing!

I decided my "Child Rearing Home-121 W. 61Terr. K.C., Mo." painting would look better with an old  look- red chalk painted frame too!

So here they are hanging in the Dining Room.

I just love the new Walmart line of  "Pioneer Woman" pottery, pans linens and etc, in reds and turquoise!  Decided I would have to have a few things!

This is the label..

My friend Mary Lou Weidman had a red heart hanging in one of her pictures so I had to make me one too!

Here's where I hung it. Hope you are enjoying your days too!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! AND BACK TO PAINTING AGAIN!

Made the Fabric Heart Garlands while staying up  in the city with my sister  who is going thru Chemo.

My patient and faithful husband has got the "batching" down pretty good now!
Finally getting back to my painting again!

Decided to do a Folk Art Floral for our Dining Room inspired by my Old Penny Coin Table Runner.

Sure enjoying my after Christmas bargain polka dot container for my brushes

Been making a fridge banner for each season so this is the newest one.

This picture was taken before I got the Fabric Heart Garland finished!

Made them for the two kitchen doorways too!

A collection of my homemade Valentines through the years to Maurice

This old Valentine makes me think of our old childhood dog named Sonny Boy!

A touch of Valentine here too!

I also dress one of my Raggedys for each season and set it on the kitchen table.

This year decided to do our Kitchen Window Shelf  with my Mini Sock Monkeys. Hope you are enjoying the season too!
