REDBIRDS ON THE PULPIT TABLE + WINTER PROJECTS

It's my turn to do the Pulpit Table at church for January and February.

Aren't these neat old fabrics!  Got 27 blocks at a Antique Mall on a recent trip.

They called out for yellow don't you think?  So that's what I'm doing now. It will be a small quilt and so cute draped over the corner of a book case in my studio when finished. Can't wait!

Background for a "Fish" picture I am painting. See some the fish outlined in white?  I'm looking forward to getting back at it!  With a sick husband and taking care of a 2  1/2 yr. old great grandson I don't get things done as fast as I use too! I invite you to visit my 2nd blog too at www.preciouscottage.blogspot.com

MY PURSE HAS A NEW LOOK!

Wanted a new look so decided I would make a panel to hand stitch over the original one. This way I can have both!

Gathered different black and white and grey materials from my stash, even found some multicolored yarn in the right colors.

This is what I covered!  As you can see it's neat too, so wanted to be able to use it this way again also! Was an easy and fun project!

SURPRISE LETTER IN THE MAIL

One of my very Favorite Author/Illustrators Tomie dePaola surprised me with a response to a letter I wrote to him 2 yrs. ago I enjoy rereading his book "Christmas Remembered" every Christmas season. I also have several of his children's books  in my collection.

I've been wanting to make a Marlynne Folk Art Angel for my Studio Wall so got it done this past week. Of course she had to be dressed in red with polka dots! I have some others cut out to make for the shops too!

I enjoy my hanging pennants so much I decided to make some for the shops and maybe bag up a few sets for sale.

Fun fabric half circles ready to string with Twisted Jude Twine. I'd like to invite you to visit my other blog; www.preciouscottage.blogspot.com and Marlynne Snare Folk Artist on Facebook. Wishing you a Happy and Safe 2014!
