A LITTLE CREATING, GARDENING AND READING!

Found this beautiful tapestry yardage the other day. Perfect as a throw for my chair. I plan to add fringe and maybe a lightweight backing.

Our Kitchen Shelf for Spring!

The Grape Hyacinths are profuse in the Cottage Garden so decided to transplant some in The Blue Bottle Garden in back off the house.  The Violas are growing.
"Black Callie" is one of my 3 constant companions!

Finished this "A Fine Summer Day in Missouri" painting and put it at "Kurzweils" for sale at $40.00

Just finished this first book in the series of 2. Excellent!

Started on the second one. It's going to be just as good I can tell!

Another look at the new plantings.

Tasha; our faithful doggie!

I have fun using all kinds of things in the garden

The Bridals Wreath are blooming their heads off in front of the barn!

Another bush!

The yellow blossom Holly is going at it too!

The solar bird light doesn't light up, but looks cute anyway!
I had been looking for some more party lights for the back porch entrance.  They make me think of one of my old canister sets. Cheerful yellow and red!

I've had fun doing some self portraits thru the years.  This I named  "Marlynne in Another Life"  Hope your enjoying your days too! You might check out my other blog also:  www.preciouscottageblogspot.com

Cute little children's teas set trays!

Old red children's shovel!

Two birdhouse guaranteed to not draw birds!

Strand of outdoor lights remind me of old canister tins instead of red peppers!

For a doily garland!

Rust Chimes for my garden and red frames!

Another beautiful "Bling" necklace!

Judy found another old adorable handmade Andy! We both can hardly resist them when they are priced reasonably!

Judy loves green ware! The vase is green also even though it looks yellow in the picture!

A precious little Victorian piece!

I wore another "Bling" piece Sunday so Maurice took my picture!

Just finished this gripping  first novel by my friend Sharon Lovejoy. It's  about 2 run away girls helped to find safety thru the Underground Railroad Network. Really an excellent book!

EARLY SERVICE NURSERY DUTY--FINALLY BURNT DOWN THE PARTIALLY STANDING HOUSE-SAD! CELEBRATING OUR 61ST ENGAGEMENT ANNIVERSARY!

WE COULDN'T GET THEM TO ALL STAY IN ONE PLACE FOR A PICTURE!

ONE OF OUR SETS OF TWINS DECIDED TO LOVE ON THE PAINTING I DID IN 2013.  I'M SURPRISED THEY STAYED THERE LONG ENOUGH TO GET A PICTURE!

I CALLED THIS OUR 61ST ENGAGEMENT ANNIVERSARY PICTURE!

MY GOOD FRIEND @LINDA BOGART WHO IS ALSO OUR CHOIR DIRECTOR AT CHURCH

WE HAD WISHED THEY'D BURN DOWN THE PARTIALLY STANDING HOUSE THAT USED TO BE OUR KIDS, BUT WHEN THEY DID IT WAS VERY SAD! ESPECIALLY SEEING GRANDSON DAVEY'S TIRE SWING STILL HANGING FROM THE TREE!

61 YEARS AGO! IN OCTOBER WHEN WE STARTED DATING. I WAS A JUNIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL AND MAURICE WAS A FRESHMAN IN COLLEGE.

I DECIDED IT WOULD BE FUN TO GO DANCING AT THE ELKS CLUB WITH SOME FRIENDS TO CELEBRATE. BUT! I GOT SICK AT HALF TIME AND WAS DEATHLY SICK ALL NIGHT AND MORNING! THEN WEAK FOR SEVERAL DAYS! NOT A VERY HAPPY 61'ST CELEBRATION!

DECIDED I WOULD PUT A 7 WATT BULB IN THE PAINTING LIGHT AND LEAVE IT IN ALL THE TIME. I'M REALLY ENJOYING THE COZY LOOK!

PROJECT RIGHT NOW: GETTING READY FOR THE LADY'S TEA AT CHURCH

4 MORE TO GO!

PAINTING FROM A FEW YEARS BACK-"SPRING WILDFLOWERS"
