My dear friend Rose Marie and I make a quilt every week at our church  "Chat & Sew".
We have been using 5 1/2" sq's in flannel prints and solids, sewn in rolls and tied.Note: I buy fat quarters for accent blocks. We can get 12 out of a quarter.

I do love winter, but after several  months I'm ready for spring  Last spring while I was painting this picture I could smell the blossoms, see the fresh turn soil and laundry blowing in the breeze  and the whole family at work and play all in My World!

I thought you might enjoy my husband Maurices (pronounced Morris) and my attempt at the "Roaring 20's look" where we celebrated at our Church Valentines Banquet Sunday Night!   I painted The "Love Never Fails" sign for the entrance where the couples pictures were taken.

RED BIRDS AND CHIPPER (As seen out the dining room window)COPYRIGHTED

The redbirds are so vivid against the pure white snow! This was painted looking out my dining room window a couple of years ago Of course Chipper, the squirrel  was there too! The above camera picture was taken this morning after our first snowfall of the winter!

WINTER WONDERLAND (as seen out the kitchen window) Copyrighted

As soon as the snow starts falling the redbirds come from everywhere! Chipper the squirrel is always there! I painted  the above painting while looking out my kitchen window a couple of years ago. The camera picture is how it looked this morning with our first snow of the winter!.

Three of my newest little "Raggedys" are taking part in this special birthday greeting.  The  Heart Pillow was just finished for the occasion too. The little felt initials usually set on my studio table, but I thought they added a nice touch!!
