BACK TO CREATING!

Normally my first project after Christmas is to catch up on the ironing. But "wonder of wonders" I was caught up! So creating being my most favorite thing to do in the world I decided to make a Folk Art Bird Hanging for the refrigerator to replace the  Folk Art Christmas Tree Hanging that's up there now.

I even had to piece the black background in order to have a big enough piece! "Where there's a Will there's a Way"  is my style!

One of my chicken combs was bothering me!

So took a little piece of old red binding and re-worked it! I like it much better!

Maurice wanted to give me my gift first Christmas Day along with a little part serious part humorous speech!

We had picked it out together so I was very excited!

It's the beautiful Eternity Ring on my middle finger! I just love it!

Maurice was wanting a new watch so we picked this one out for him!

I was surprised and so happy to receive cards and notes from two of my blog friends: Susan Gannon and Linda Michael. I enjoy and treasure the friendship I have with my blog friends, often praying for them and their's as they go through the stresses of life. It's not the same but I remember Mother saying once she found herself praying for some of the people in the Novel she was reading at the time!

Thought I'd share the new pictures I have of our Great Grandsons! This is Eli 4 1/2. He livess with his momma (grand daughter Jackie) in Garden City too, so we get to see him often.

And out newest little great grandson Liam ( almost 4 months). He was adopted at birth by Steven and Cassie (Grand Daughter) . They live in Layton, Utah

My friend Karen got me my 8th Jim Shore Folk Art Santa again this year for Christmas! I just love using them on our Christmas Tables!

Our  great room ceiling light is one of my favorite decorations too, but I don't take a picture of it often! I can dim the light for great ambiance!

After sister Judy's 2 surgeries and visiting grandkids and doggie and extra activities during this Christmas Season we all did some extra napping!  Wishing you and yours a Very Happy, Healthy, Satisfying New Year!  You might enjoy checking out my 2nd blog: www.preciouscottageblogspot.com also

CELEBRATING SISTER JUDY'S BIRTHDAY IN ST. CHARLES & JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI

Doesn't this just look like Christmas! The "Cobblestone Cottage" is a beautiful shop in The Old  Town of St. Charles down by the Missouri River. Sister Judy and I just had to have out picture taken here!

Wouldn't you like to take this whole setting home with you? I would!

Such a fun place to shop and eat! Old St Charles along the Mo. River

One of the darling darling shops that you want one of almost everything!
Such clever wall treatment in the entryway!

I didn't try it ! But I bet it was good!

Thought this was a funny sight in the Community Rest Room in St Charles!

Sister Judy at her most favorite shop of all "Siostra" Polish Pottery

Checking out the newest pieces. Judy has quite a collection of the beautiful stuff. She is really good at finding pieces at Thrift Stores and Garage Sales.

She just had to try on one of these originals!

Do you see the river and gazebo? This view is from the street where all the stores are located!

Such a pretty view looking into one of the shops

Finished my Folk Art Christmas Tree Banner while on the trip!  Decided I like it best on the front of the  refrigerator  so that's where it is now! Blessings on You and Yours during this Holiday Season. Hope you'll check out my 2nd blog:www.preciouscottageblogspot.com too!

FALL TRIP TREASURES

This cute wooden lighted pumpkin planter was just waiting for me at the little shop in Old Town Florissant, Mo. for $3.00! Yeah!

Found some old Halloween signs for 25 cents!

My friend Donna at Vintage Daze Antiques in Tipton, Mo. surprised me with these darling red and white Melimac  dishes for my back porch! So Cute!

Such cute little children's things for the child in me!

Humpty Dumpty has a roller on the bottom that makes his arms move while he rolls. Darling!

Hand made mask ( Molas) are made by the Woman of Kuna Yala of Panama.  It is an applique sewing made without a hoop created  for traditional blouses, handbags, quilts and other creative arts. The plastic bone jewelry was so unique for $3.00 a set. I had to get it to go with  my Halloween Outfit

I gathered leaves along the way and pressed them in magazines in the car. They are ready to use after just a few days!

I collect children's books too!

I'd been wanting to get an Adult Coloring Book  and Colored pencils (All the rage now) So decided this trip would be a good time for my neighbor friend Hope and I to give it a try!

This is my first one! Hope got away with her's before I got a picture!

There are all different kinds of coloring books, it's hard to choose!

This is a sample of the pages in this book.

My last of the 20+ Magnet Pumpkin I made for friends and family. Mine Yeah! Happy Fall to you too!
