ROARING RIVER DELUXE SKILLET BREAKFAST!

My 61st wedding anniversary breakfast!! It was HUGE and DELICIOUS!!  Of course I couldn't eat all of it, but I gave it a run for it's money!! Maurice's (small compared to mine) plate of pancakes is in the background!

And of course he went walking while I worked on my handwork!

Fishermen were busy cleaning their fish after a 7:00 a.m. start!

This is the Inn we stay at right up the hill from the campground. It was foggy when I took this picture.

They have Bluegrass Music on Friday nights and Church on Sunday A.M. in the park. But part of the time it's in the Lobby of the Inn

So we lucked out and got to watch and listen in the a/c lobby. I couldn't get a good picture because of the lighting. there were 4 main musicians with several guest performers and a couple of children.  The show was 2 hours long with a good turnout of locals and campers.

I've never noticed these huge crows on the roof before, but the receptionist said it's a common sight. Sometimes they cover the top of the water tower too she said.

We come across a "RePurposed Fair" Sat in Monett, Mo. Really had some neat things! I thought it a clever idea!
They had furniture, clothing, pottery, plants, jewelry and of course food! Even had stuff for fairy houses!

This  top was my purchase! I'm going to use it as a pattern to make me some more for fall and winter!

I wore it Sunday for church.

Always enjoy the interestingly decorated shops!
I got this neat lampshade from Susie Childs at her shop "Tullies" in Booneville, Mo recently. Just love the way it looks in my Art Studio!

Close Up.

This little apple chalk plaque reminded me of  what use to hang in peoples kitchens so of course I needed it!

A cute little hanging planter that will go somewhere?

We stopped at this old cafe in Nevada, Mo. for breakfast at the start of our trip' Food was good'
Such a cute old  DX Gas Station in Cassville, Mo. Hope you are having some get-away time too before winter sets in!  My second blog is: www.preciouscottage,blogspot.com hope you'll visit it too!

ENJOYING THE LAST DAYS OF SUMMER!

Instead of the birds, I've gone to the chickens on the back porch!
Decided I wanted to cover My Quote Book in something fun!

I have filled 50 pages so far! I Love Quotes and use them in art!

I've been wanting to make a small pressing board to have on my sewing table so finally got it done!!

Been re-reading this book lately! It's terrific and full of Quotes!

Got this old 1950's book on our last trip. Finished it this past week, and it was good! Mother use to say I always picked out  Library Books for her by how I liked the covers!

Decided the little Fairy Corner needed it's garland, swag, banner or what ever you call it too! There are feathers and shiny pieces of foil as well as pieces of cloth, ribbon and lace

Another view!

Here I am hidden in The Blue Bottle Garden early one morning with the sun just coming up! I'm reading my Bible Readings and enjoying my new fountain. A 61st Anniversary Gift from my sweet husband

I have finally grown to really enjoy my scenting pot in the bathroom.

This is my absolute favorite scent! ZEN!

Two of my little rag dolls with the American Flag in support of the Americans in the Olympics! And my they have done fantastic too!   Well as one of my favorite authors: Gladys Taber said regarding late summer: " Summer is already walking the path to yesterday"! I'm ready too  I love Fall!
