FINALLY BOUGHT SOME KAFFE FASSETT FABRIC!

Went to Lawrence Kansas today to visit my husbands sister in a nursing home. To make the day a little brighter we spent some time on Mass. St. at some of my favorite shops. The fabric store worked out a deal for me so I could get a sampling of Kaffe Fassett Fabrics  (1/8th fat quarters) of 10 different designs. As I love to make smalls in many things this will be great fun!

Here are some of the different combinations I come up with
As you will see further down the post, this combination matches what I wore today.
Love the fall colors! Today felt like fall, wonderful!
Came home and immediately slipped out of my clothes, for something cooler.
One of Kaffe's  hints in a book I read was "Get inspiration for color combinations and patterns when you travel. Record them in your sketchbook or with your digital camera". This is today's recordings!
This art Car is driven in the St. Pat's Parade as well as Art Car Parade in the Spring  in Lawrence.
One of our favorite stops! Silas & Maddy's Homemade Ice Cream. I picked Butterfinger and Maurice's choice was Blackberry.
A good day even though Maurice's sister does not even remember us. She is in a lovely home though, and well cared for. We both highly recommend  "The Windsor" in Lawrence, Kansas if you are in need  of this service.
