WILDFLOWERS AND MEMORIES

Time to live with my "Wildflowers and Memories" painting to see if I want to make any changes before it goes out into the world!

I had to wait to show my precious pink tree till after we revealed our Secret Sister's since I had got her and my own sister one also!  Sister Judy and I call them our memorie or friendship trees.  The picture in front is my Mother and to the right my paternal grandparents in younger years.

I decided to make a little mini bunting for I didn't know where!

Here

or here?

Our son Paul and Tracee met us at the cemetery this morning he brought his usual  lawn wind ornaments. They always look so pretty twirling with the wind! He said "They're fun! We're having a party out at the Snare plot!"

Our middle son Phil  died in 1981

Our youngest son John died in 2005

We planted this White Pine as a very small tree in 1981 the year Phil died. It was struck by lighting and damaged badly the year John died but it survived and  is a fine big tree now! I invite you to visit my other blog at preciouscottage.blogspot.com and Marlynne Snare Folk Artist on facebook also. Have a great week!

BACK AT THE WEINSTRASSE CABINS AGAIN!

Just like "Coming Home" we've been here so many times!

Was so glad Maurice got well enough for us to make the trip again!

The old wood smell welcomes us at the front door!

Fellow Artist and Neighbor Hope Mathews has come with us every year. We always bring some creative project besides our paints to work on.. This year it was Bohemian Swags

Maurice's favorite activities while there are reading, walking the Katy Trail and eating! He doesn't add playing cards to the list but he is a good sport and joins in every night!

It was very cold so we didn't go out painting! But it didn't bother our new artist friend Henryk Ptasiewicz!  He even slept in his car!

The flowering  trees and spring flowers were beautiful! Notice the bundled up artist painting on the sidewalk!

Breath taking Dogwoods!

Don't see these old fashioned yellow iris's at home very often!

Beautiful variegated tulips in front of the parsonage

I did some colored pencil drawings on postcards to abandon .

You can tell where we were here!

Left this one with the tip for our blond waitress!

I worked on 2 paintings while there. Will finish them at home.

This is the scene from the front door.

Our two favorite places to stop on the way home!

With friend Donna Garber owner of Vintage Daze in Tipton. Always come home with several treasures from there, Usually red in color!
Our little Tasha Doggy  was glad we were back!  She was well taken care of though by our granddaughter Jackie,
