Was Happy with my Second Place and Honorable Mention Ribbons.  I enjoyed visiting with old and new friends. Debbie Wilde traveling through from Texas was a new special kindred spirit friend

Did this painting for a precious 97 yr old lady at church. She and her husband had this building built and ran it along with their boys in the Archie Community for many years. It is now gone and a gas/convenience store stands in it's place. It was a favorite place for all the community in days past!

I'M BACK!

I have been busy painting and creating all along. But things have settled down enough to want to blog again. So here we go!!  We celebrated our 64th Wedding Anniversary the 26th of Aug. One of the things we did was take a street car ride!

The flowers have done well in my Blue Bottle Garden due to a lot of rain!

I have enjoyed working in my Art Journals. Recalling memories in words and paintings,

The book starts out with our dating time, child rearing time, and will probably go thru our 65th year of marriage.

I've had fun adding stuff to The Folk Art Porch. Which is the entrance we use right off the driveway.

I still go up to sister Judy's in the city most every Fri-Sat. She is doing remarkably well being that she is in her 3rd year with 4th stage lung cancer. We still enjoy shopping at Antique Malls and Thrift Stores even though we both run down sooner than we use to! But that is good since we spend enough money as it is! We have season tickets to The New Dinner Theater in K. C., Mo and enjoy dressing up for that. I created a jacket to wear this last time.

I am doing art work for charities in these golden years of my life. It is just as much fun and more rewarding!  I think I better stop as my computer is not wanting to upload any more photos for me. This is a new laptop and I'm having to relearn the process! Blessing Friends!

GETTING HANDWORK READY FOR A CRUISE

Have 15 different  folk art flowers ready to work on on our cruise ( in case I  have handwork withdrawals)   Will use for a quilt or individual pieces of art.

Barnes & Noble had these little Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbits on special so I had to have one! I have several of her books. She was a very interesting person. Thanks for stopping by for a visit.

SPRING AT OUR HOUSE

GOT THIS LITTLE GIRL LAST WEEK AND REPAINTED HER AND GAVE HER A SIGN FOR THE  ENTRANCE TO THE BACK PORCH.

I've got a sign now, so it's official!  Ha Ha!

Sad! Our little white Scottie doggie "Toto" was hit by a car and killed  2 days ago on Tuesday. We really miss our little lively friend!

Maurice and I celebrating our 63rd Engagement Anniversary. He ordered 2 waffles so one came home with us plus half of my plate. Of course I have to say we had already eaten the free delicious warm cinnamon rolls that are placed on each table as the customers are seated!

We are so grateful the Lord has allowed us 63 years together!

The program was painting rocks! I told the story of how some of the groups started and how it has become an International Treasure Hunt! There was some doubt whether they could do it or not but-

I think they turned out great!
